Sigma Chi Government Affairs Update


For a moment, I would like you to think back upon the time when the White Cross of Sigma Chi was pinned to your chest during your initiation. The feelings of accomplishment and excitement surged through you and your fellow initiates. In that instant, an invisible bond was created that connected you not only to the brothers in your chapter, but also to the hundreds of thousands who have gone before and built our Fraternity into the premier leadership development organization in the interfraternal world.

Former Consul, Wins Seat on Ocean City Council

Brother Peter Buas '13, former Gamma Chi Consul and native of Ocean City, MD ran for and won, one of the four seats on the Ocean City council that were up for grabs this year. Buas brings some fresh perspective to City Hall coming out of the hospitality industry with a law degree and hopes to help revitalize the downtown area. Congratulations to Brother Buas!

New Sigma Chi Maryland Initiates

Congratulations to our Spring ‘20 pledge class, which was finally initiated on October 25th! These 22 Brothers had a lot of obstacles to cope with on their path to Initiation in the midst of this pandemic. Our new Brothers, as well as the Undergraduate Chapter leadership, did an excellent job successfully navigating through these trying times.
